Elegant Mother of the Bride Dress with Jacket - Knee Length Evening Gown for Weddings, Parties & Special Occasions

I did go up two sizes to make sure it fit well. I will have a Seamstress nip and tuck a few spots for my body, as well as take in the jacket a little. As a big woman I ordered this just because I loved it but didn’t expect it would fit! I’m surprised that this fit so well. I do have an apple shape average chest, small hips and legs. 5”6 220. The quality of the beading is beautiful. Perfect length. I like my jackets a little smaller but that’s a personal preference. Highly recommend!Definitely go a size up! I'm glad I read the reviews. I bought this for my mom to use as her MOB dress. It's beautiful but a bit awkward in how it fits. She's only 5'1" and this dress seems to be made for someone at least 5'5". We had to get the straps shortened as well as the chest area to be taken in. The waist was super tight and she's a petite woman. Thank goodness there was enough fabric to take it out a half inch on each side. There was also a lot of room in the thigh area which had to be taken in. The shawl was huge and baggy! So that was made to be more fitted and shortened. Mom said she looked like she was wearing a graduation gown. Biggest plus was that it arrived a week early! Downside was that we had to spend $200 in alterations.I ordered larger so it does need to be taken in, dress is absolutely gorgeous!! Arrived in a timely manner.Absolutely lovely dress, minor fit issues along the zipper and arm hole but nothing a good seamstress couldn't fix! Mom felt beautiful and all at the wedding were complimenting the dress - Dad fell in love all over again (she's 84 and he's 80) LOL! The color lovely, as were the lace and the waist line embellishments. Highly recommend! We tried and return 4 other dresses before hitting the lotto 5 days before the wedding! Thank you for the beautiful design, material and color!This dress is beautiful brought it for my daughter’s wedding. The chest is loose, and, the waist is a little tight. Asked for a size 2 thank goodness they sent a size 4! Everyone loved it!It’s her size but could not get the waist past her butt to zip itOrdered a size up, dress fit perfectly with the exception of the shoulders. At the shoulders, it was too broad/big. Will have to do some adjustments. It’s also slightly big at the hips.The dress was beautiful. Looked as pictured. It was a beautiful color and sizing was right. Even more than the dress, I give 5 stars to the customer service from the company. I needed to send a few emails back and forth. The company responded right away and were very helpful.
